Wikipedia blackout no more

We’re not supporting SOPA here, and agree with the blackout, but sometimes you just need to use Wikipedia, so we had a think about this, and within 5 minutes had the following solution:

  1. Visit a wikipedia page that has been blacked out! i.e. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page
  2. Where the website address is shown in the address bar, replace it completely with the following:

The following is known to work in Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, and some other browsers, but not with FireFox!:

Note: When copy and pasting into the address bar, make sure it starts with javascript: otherwise it won’t work and will no doubt redirect you to a google search, if that’s the case, type javascript: into the address bar, paste and it should work.

As we’ve said above, we’re not trying to diminish the effect of this blackout, merely provide help for those students etc that really need the valuable information it holds.

New project from Swanify – Inquire.ly

It’s been a while since we’ve blogged, but i wanted to let you know that things have been super busy, our portfolio has fast become old as we’ve raced through exciting mobile projects.

However on this post i wanted to talk about a new project we’ve been working on, it’s called Inquire.ly, and whilst it’s still in development i thought i’d entice you all to sign up and get early beta access when it’s finally released.

You can sign up to be a BETA tester here: http://inquire.ly/
